2022 is set to be a year filled with innovations, especially in cities like Dubai and throughout the Middle East. Not only are we talking about Big Data and the Internet of Things, but also Blockchain, DeFi, Digitization, and much more.
Digital Transformation is not just about technology, but how companies transform to develop new skills, goals and improve their performance.
Post-Covid Innovations
Digital Transformation has particularly taken hold during the global pandemic. Amidst smart working, online classes, and digitization, companies have developed new ways to expand their businesses.
In the healthcare field, for example, Dubai has launched the Dubai Health Experience, aimed at offering a unique vacation experience to tourists.
At the same time, finance is evolving by leveraging new blockchain technologies and developing new worlds such as the metaverse. This, however, does not leave e-commerce behind, which is studying new strategies of audio localization and marketing positioning.
What will be the major trends in 2022?
As for the new year, the main trends will be those born and developed mostly in 2021. However, other markets such as Big Data and Cloud will see evolutions never experienced before, such as decentralized information gathering.
A new space will be dedicated to Open Innovation, which will not be a real market, but a new approach. This, in fact, requires companies to take advantage of skills and technological tools from external entities, such as research centers, suppliers, universities, startups, consultants, or other figures able to implement a digital transformation.
Below is a short list of what the Digital Transformation trends will be for 2022:
- Cloud: there is no Digital Transformation without Clouds, digital platforms that are essential for both individuals and businesses. These are online spaces where you can save your files, including big ones, so as not to ruin the physical storage of computers.
- AI: AI, or Artificial Intelligence, are innovative tools that help companies get the most out of their products. They are now installed not only in cell phones, laptops, and computers but also in cars and humanoid robots. Just think of Elon Musk’s Tesla Bot and his Tesla vehicles. Other companies however prefer to create Machine Learning and Deep Learning systems.
- Big Data: Big Data is used by companies to collect valuable information about their audience in order to sell their products more effectively. Using this data, audio localization and video localization strategies can be developed, as well as marketing and SEO.
- IoT and Blockchain: the IoT industry will be a very important trend for 2022. Together with blockchain, it is possible to develop smart devices and decentralized tools, of which the latter can also be applied to finance. Same for NFTs, which will revolutionize digital art.
Conclusion
As you can see, the Digital Transformation trends for 2022 are several.
We just have to wait and see how certain technologies that seem to open the doors for a new future will evolve.
