Bobrick is a recognized world leader in toilet partition systems and commercial restroom accessories, carrying a strong legacy of product innovation and manufacturing expertise. On 15 and 16 April at Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort, the company organized an international sales conference and workshop.
At the workshop two prominent members of the company were present: Philippe Sukyas, the International Operation Sales Manager, and Pablo Marrero, the Regional Sales Manager for Latin America. They successfully hosted the event and managed to involve Bobrick’s representatives in interesting discussions and group activities.
The purpose of the event was to promote Bobrick products in Arab markets and to actively engage some of their employees in useful discussions and activities in order to make them grasp the company’s vision and foster their vocational skills.

We were in charge of providing simultaneous interpreting services German to English. This is to be considered a very rare language pair in the UAE, where there are not many professionals specialized in German. Regardless, we managed to provide two simultaneous interpreters for this rare language combination, who did an amazing job at the workshop.
Besides interpreters, we also provided a bidule, which is a portable equipment used for simultaneous interpreting without a booth. It uses a pocket radio transmitter and any number of receivers and headphones required. With this system, the speech of the speaker is streamed to a simultaneous interpreter, who wears headphones with a microphone. He or she then interprets the speech in real time, and the interpretation is streamed to listeners, who also wear headphones.
Event organizers required the bidule instead of traditional simultaneous interpreting booths as the attendants who needed translation were very few – only 6 people – and also because people had to move to different rooms during a number of sessions.
