A large number of entrepreneurs wonder how to improve SEO strategy by learning SEO fundamentals to expand their business. This is because SEO is one of the key factors for anyone who wants to rank successfully online not only on Google, but also on YouTube and social networks.

SEO stands for search engine optimization. In a nutshell it means the ability of search engines to find our content. Without good SEO, therefore, it will be difficult to get noticed.

So, let’s see together what are some of the SEO fundamentals for 2022.

SEO strategy fundamentals

For a good SEO strategy, the first thing to do is to find your target market. We can’t think of selling meat to a purely vegan audience, for example. Starting from this, you can then proceed to the choice of your keywords.

Keywords are nothing more than words that are used to search for a specific piece of content. If John is planning to buy a state-of-the-art car, he will most likely type the words “new cars 2022” into Google. 

Here, this group of words could be the words we plan to position our blog article or product around. Around them, however, we’ll need to build content that is fluent, engaging and that Google “likes”.

To ” appeal” to Google, we can take our cue from the top 10 or 20 articles we find on the web. We must then analyze them by focusing on:

  • Number of words used for the topic
  • Variety and number of keywords used
  • Queries covered and topics discussed

In addition, you may decide to analyze your direct competitors’ online reviews, their backlinks and their website organization. In fact, having a well-connected site both internally and externally is one of the most important SEO fundamentals.

Also, try to evaluate your user experience on other people’s sites, especially from a mobile device.

Being responsive when doing SEO

It’s true that SEO is critical for your website, but it’s also true that you can’t have good SEO if you don’t optimize your site for your target audience. Even if your website pops up on the first page on Google, the user might decide to leave it because it doesn’t load quickly, or because there are broken buttons.

The best thing to do when optimizing SEO is to create a responsive website on every device. Just think that the traffic coming from desktop is now less than 50%. Furthermore, you can turn your website into a progressive web app to make it even smoother when opened from smartphones and tablets.
