There is no doubt the UAE is one of the top-ranking countries in attracting foreign wealth, and for a number of good reasons. Thanks to low taxation, rich natural resources, and a favorable climate to do business, the UAE managed to attract $10,354mln of Foreign Direct Investment in 2017 according to Santander Trade Portal. In this scenario, Real Estate is a strategic sector, which expects to see a growth also thanks to the Expo 2020 in Dubai.

Russia and China Are Looking for Smart Investments

According to estimates, the Chinese will invest a total of $1.5 trillion in overseas real estate in the next ten years. The Chinese are already among the top ten Real Estate investors in Dubai, and with the construction of the largest Chinatown of the Middle East by Emaar at Dubai Creek Harbour, investments are bound to skyrocket.

On the other hand, President of Russia Vladimir Putin received Abu Dhabi Crown Prince His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan last June in Moscow, where they signed a Declaration of Strategic Partnership and cooperation. With this favorable climate, Russian investors are likely to converge to the UAE. Only in 2017, Russians spent $1.1bln in foreign property investments.
