Interpreting for the 2017 Mazda Walk Around Competition

During 2017’s Mazda Walk Around Competition, the Mazda Motor Corporation utilized our simultaneous interpreting services for all their interpreting needs.  Every year, the Middle East and Africa Mazda Operations hosts a company wide competition for their regional branches. On March 15, 2017, sales teams from Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE gathered at Mazda’s Galdari Showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai. Here, the teams competed in a mock-sale scenario to show their brand knowledge, communication abilities and presentation skills. In this dynamic and fast-paced competition, we provided Mazda Motors with real-time interpretation.  Our interpreters not only translated the contestants’ messages, but also displayed the participants’ communication and presentation skills. This gave the audience members a full experience of the competition.

Along with two simultaneous interpreters, we provided Mazda Motors with our full conference equipment including our soundproof booth, microphone and infrared earphones. Audience members were provided with personal headsets to listen to the live English to Arabic translation. We selected our interpreters based on their previous experience with and knowledge of the auto-industry. This knowledge allowed our interpreters to effortlessly translate the contestants’ sale pitches in real time. It also enabled our interpreters to translate other speeches, videos and promotional materials presented during the competition. The interpreters went beyond translating the words of each contestant. They also translated the emotions and enthusiasm of the speakers with cultural and linguistic relevancy. To ensure the seamlessness of the event and its technology, one of our skilled technicians accompanied our interpreters and equipment.
