Langpros at the Mazda Walkaround Contest 2019

The Mazda Walkaround Contest is the major league of Mazda salesforce: the best employees from Africa and the Middle East challenge each other in a roleplay where the objective is rising interest in potential clients (represented by instructed actors). The ability of the contestants is then evaluated by a jury after each round.

The event is held in Arabic and English, and we are proud to say that Mazda chose, for the third year in a row, our simultaneous Arabic-English interpreters together with the support of our interpreting equipment and specialized technicians for their yearly event.

The Competition

Mazda provided actors with two typical profiles of potential customers such as age, hobbies, previous car, and other preferences for its brand-new Mazda 6. The contestants then had 20 minutes to display their ability during a simulated visit of the showroom.

After every round, the jury had time to take notes and make evaluations, according to the ability of the contestant to offer the best consultancy to the potential client.

Langpros supplied the Bosch infrared interpreting system for this event. Every member of the jury and the audience received their wireless headset so that they could follow the developments of the mock sale with ease and perceive every nuance of the client-seller interaction.

The English-Arabic simultaneous interpreters we selected for the event are not only trained professionals, but they also specialized in the automotive field. This expertise guarantees on point translations and a deep awareness of technical terminology. In this case, the interpreters had also worked on past editions of the event. Moreover, our Bosch technical equipment provided crystal-clear sound, comfort, and privacy to the 50 people in the audience.
