GEMS Education, whose mission is to provide quality education to every student, is the largest operator of private kindergarten-to-grade-12 schools in the world. GEMS Awareness Day 2018
On 26 August 2018, the company organized an induction day at five-star Atlantis The Palm Hotel in Dubai. The event was sponsored by major partners such as HSBC, Alfa Romeo, Virgin, Warner Bros., and many more. Throughout the day, there were a number of speeches delivered by some senior members of the organization. Among others, there were Sunny Varkey, GEMS Education’s founder and chairman, Dino Varkey, the company’s CEO, Sir Christopher Stone, the Chief Education Officer of GEMS MENASA (Cayman), and lastly, Brendan Law, the vice president of British Cluster Lead at GEMS Education. Their speeches did not focus on specifics such as company policies, but rather on a company presentation and an induction session for the new staff.
The event was intended to welcome 1,500 new teachers to the company and prepare them for their new role by explaining GEMS Education’s vision, mission, and values to them. The 2018 awareness day also helped them to integrate fully into the organization and to enhance their leadership skills.
Langpros’ Key Role at the Event
We were in charge of interpreting throughout the event, which lasted 4 hours. Two of our most qualified simultaneous interpreters offered simultaneous interpretation services from English to Arabic and Arabic to English. We also provided all the necessary interpretation equipment, namely a soundproof booth, and headsets for 200 attendees. We also took care of the whole set-up thanks to one of our specialized technicians and full technical assistance throughout the day.
