Interpreting for Gulf Chinese Trading Corporation’s Economic Cooperation Conference

The Gulf Chinese Trading Corporation, in partnership with the Hunan Business Office in the Middle East and the United Arab-Hunan Joint Commerce Chambers, used our simultaneous interpreting services to host their 2016 Economic Trade Cooperation Conference. The conference, the Hunan Manufacturing Industry Steps in Middle East & The Park District of Economic Trade Cooperation Conference 2016, was also sponsored by the Department of Commerce of Hunan Province, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Ajman and the Changsha New-and High-tech Park. Over 200 representatives from various Chinese and Emirati enterprises and government agencies gathered at the Fairmont Hotel in Ajman on September 27th.  The representatives listened to various speeches and presentations on the current economic relationship between China and Ajman and future joint efforts to promote tourism through investors and development. Mr. Jin Lei, the Counselor of Economic and Trade Business Office of Consulate-General of the PRC in Dubai, delivered the conference’s keynote speak on the successful cooperation between China and the United Arab Emirates on the China Mall Ajman. With the success of the Gulf Chinese Trading Corporation and Ajman’s partnership, the government and business representatives concluded the conference by signing memorandums of understanding (MOU) for future collaborations.

The Economic Trade Conference played an important role in solidifying both Ajman and China’s interest in continuing their business collaborations. To ensure each presenter and speech giver’s message came across fully and clearly, the Gulf Chinese Trading Corporation enlisted our translation services. We provided two professional interpreters and our full conference equipment, which included a soundproof booth, control set, personal headsets, microphones, and more. Our simultaneous interpreters worked 30-minute shifts translating the speeches, presentations, discussions and question and answer sessions from English into Chinese. We selected our two interpreters for their experience in translating Business and Development related events.  The guests who required the translation to listen to the conference were given our infrared earphones and handheld headsets upon entry. One of our skilled technicians also remained on-site during the conference to ensure everything ran smoothly.

At Langpros, we know how important clear communication is in business meetings and negotiations. Language barriers should not be able to prevent bilateral partnerships from occurring. This is why we were pleased to help the Gulf Chinese Trading Corporation to break down such barriers to ensure they could continue their collaborations with Ajman.
