On March 30th, 2017, we were honored to have once again offered our simultaneous interpreting services to Commercial Bank International (CBI). The CBI board and shareholders met at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE for their General Assembly Meeting. The meeting was held to review the bank’s performance and achievements during the previous year. The packed agenda featured presentations, discussions, voting referendums and a speech by Chairman of the CBI Board of Directors, Mohammad Sultan Al Qadi.
The highly technical shareholder review of the bank’s activity, finances, and liabilities required precise translations of the presented material. We provided two professional interpreters who were specially selected based on their previous knowledge and experience with translating for the financial industry. Their familiarity and understanding of the industry’s official jargon, concepts and technical terms allowed for a more fluid and natural translation. Aside from our simultaneous interpreters, we also outfitted CBI’s meeting with our full conference equipment. This included a soundproof booth, microphone, control unit, infrared earphones, and one of our skilled technicians to operate the technology and stop technical issues from occurring. The audience received the English to Arabic translation of the presentations, discussions, speeches and voting referendums in almost real-time via our company-provided personal audio systems.
CBI’s General Assembly Meeting proved to be very productive and informative for their shareholders.
