Ferretti Group is a world leader in the design, construction and sale of motor yachts and pleasure crafts, and it owns prestigious brands such as Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN, and Custom Line.
From 3 to 6 March the company arranged its annual convention at five-star Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dubai. The exclusive event, titled “Convergence 2018”, was organized by Gattinoni, a leading communication agency specialized in the organization of B2B and B2C events and in creative and innovative communication solutions.
The convention comprised activities ranging from panel discussions on company’s innovations to business meetings, from training courses to team-building activities. It was attended by more than 100 captains and technicians of Ferretti Group’s yachts, as well as by leading figures of the company such as Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group’s CEO.
The main purpose of the event was to provide a platform for discussion on company-related matters, to perform some refresher training for the company’s technical staff as well as to teach them team-building and goal-setting skills.
Langpros’ Key Role at the Annual Convention of Ferretti Group
Throughout the convention we were responsible of simultaneous interpreting services English to Italian. There were two simultaneous interpreters: Matteo and Laura, two of our most experienced team members who have considerable experience in the interpreting field and possess deep knowledge of the yachting sector.
Simultaneous interpreting is time-saving since, unlike consecutive interpreting, it does not force a speaker to stop in order to allow an interpreter to translate his or her speech into another language. This type of interpreting requires specific equipment, mainly booths and headsets. For the Annual Convention of Ferretti Group, we were in charge of providing the whole equipment, namely a booth and headsets for 60 auditors, as well as professional assistance by one of our specialized technicians.
We feel privileged to have been chosen by such a prestigious client for offering interpreting services which, we hope, provided a further anchor for Ferretti Group’s initiatives.
