This week, the Langpros team was in San Diego, California (USA) attending the GALA 2022 conference (24th April 2022 – 27th April 2022).
About GALA
The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) serves an international community of organizations and individuals that enable communication and business across languages and cultures. GALA supports us and other member companies in the world in the globalization sector by creating communities, championing standards, sharing knowledge, and advancing technology.
This year’s conference
GALA 2022 is the first annual conference that has been held since the pandemic and it was organized by the GALA (Globalization and Localization Association). The purpose of this conference was to bring together language services industry leaders and professionals to discuss the future of localization and globalization after the pandemic.
There were a variety of topics covered at this event, including the impact of the pandemic on the workplace, new technology tools for localization, and strategies for dealing with political and economic volatility.
At GALA 2022 we also collectively discussed the best practices, common challenges, emerging trends, and industry technologies.
In particular, the event was focused on: wellness-first workplaces, digitally-enabled productivity gains, data-driven language businesses, resilience-focused growth strategies, and a supply chain that is as complex as ever
There were several keynote speeches delivered by industry experts. These speeches provided insights into the current state of globalization and localization and what we can expect in the future.
Overall, GALA 2022 was an extremely valuable experience for LangPros and anyone interested in these topics.
