Luckily, the judge was fluent in English and understood that the defendant was pleading guilty to accidentally killing a man, and not to first-degree murder. Once again, the court proceedings rely upon the translation and the work of the translator. Court rulings will be based upon the translation, even if it is a mistranslation of the original.
