ICCE, the International Consortium for Court Excellence, held its annual meeting in Dubai. They chose Langpros to assure the success of their event.
The International Consortium for Court Excellence is an international organization joined by court associations from all over the world. The aim of ICCE is to promote best practices and assure high quality standards in court, embracing numerous judicial systems. Their International Framework for Court Excellence is their quality management system, consisting of core values and self-evaluating tools studied to improve court performance.
The ICCE conference held every year aims to highlight the results achieved by the framework and discuss practical strategies to achieve court excellence.
The event
ICCE decided to hold their annual meeting on the 7thand the 8thof November at the Ritz-Carlton Dubai. The name of this year’s event was “Excellence and Innovation Today and Tomorrow”. In fact, the conference also included lectures about the consequences of technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and blockchain in court.
During the 2-day event in this prestigious location, speakers discussed about a vast array of court-related subjects such as the UAE Court System, international court collaboration, and the foretold impact of new technologies on court work. The attendant came from all over the world, and the speeches were given in Arabic and English.
Among the speakers were representatives of the UAE Ministry of Justice, international judges, university professors, and lecturers from Microsoft.
Langpros’ contribution
For the success of the event, ICCE asked us to provide a simultaneous interpreting service for the two days in English and Arabic. Simultaneous interpreting requires at least two professionals taking turns every thirty minutes. For this event, we selected two of our specialized English-Arabic simultaneous legal interpreters.
Langpros also provided the technical equipment for simultaneous interpreting and 50 headsets for the audience. For interpreters’ booths, transmitters, and headsets we chose top-in-class Bosch equipment, granting crystal-clear sound, privacy, and comfort.
