Highlights of 2015: Interpreting for CBI and More

2015 proved to be another outstanding year for us here at LangPros. Throughout this year, we had the great privilege of working with many different companies, and government ministries. Our professional interpreters translated these events for various language combinations in the UAE. We interpreted two events for the Department of Transportation of Abu Dhabi from English to Arabic. While for the National Bank of Fujairah, our interpreters translated from English to Chinese.

We also provided our simultaneous interpreting services to several foreign agencies and embassies in the UAE. This includes the Embassy of Brazil in Abu Dhabi, for whom we supplied English to Portuguese and Portuguese to English interpretations. When we worked with these agencies and embassies, we often provided interpreting services for more than one language combination.  For the Italian Ministry of Justice we interpreted from Italian to English, Italian to Arabic, and English to Arabic. We did this again for the Embassy of Mexico in Abu Dhabi. In this case, our interpreters translated from English to Spanish and English to Arabic.

One highlight from this year was when we interpreted for Commercial Bank International (CBI) at their General Assembly Meeting. This annual meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah on the 31st of March. The CBI board members gathered to review the bank’s performance and to welcome CBI’s new CEO, Mark Robinson. We helped transmit this analysis and welcome by providing our full conference equipment and Arabic to English interpretation. Our interpreters sat in our company-provided soundproof booth translating the message and emotion behind all of the speeches, presentations, and discussions. The audience, including the new CEO himself, listened to the translation through personal headsets with infrared technology. One of our skilled technicians remained on-hand throughout the entire event to stop technical difficulties from occurring.

We are honored so many companies selected our interpreting services for their events during 2015. Whether these events were big or small, we were happy to help transmit any message in any language combination. We are thrilled to have helped breakdown language barriers and build bridges across different cultures and countries in 2015.
