Blockchain for Smart Economy: What It Is and How It Was Held

BFC is designed for investors and businesses who want to learn more about the blockchain world

Blockchain for Smart Economy

Do you already know what blockchain is and what it is used for? It is an innovative technology that is used both in the world of decentralized finance and in localization business. In this regard, there are many events in the world that aim to spread it, including the Blockchain for Smart Economy.

Let’s take a look together at what the event consists of and how it took place.

What is Blockchain and why “for the Smart economy”?

Blockchain technology consists in a list of records (blocks) connected through cryptography. Each block contains both the information of the block itself and the previous blocks, creating a chain.

So, to modify one block, you would have to modify all the previous ones. This explains why blockchain is considered as one of the most resilient technologies in the world, so much so that it is used for decentralized financial solutions that involve huge amounts of money.

In this regard, Blockchain for Smart Economy is an event designed for all those who are passionate about the crypto and blockchain world and want to learn more about it.

More specifically, there is the chance to engage with businesses and companies, with the possibility to connect start-ups with international investors and customers.

The event was held on the 7th of October 2021 at Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, and hosted experts and managers from the blockchain world including Mr. Amine Kreidi, Commercial Director at MeiVentures, and Ms. Irina Heaver, Leading Blockchain Business Lawyer Partner at Keystone Law Middle East.

But how were the language barriers overcome, especially in a pandemic era where anti COVID regulations make everything more difficult?

Hybrid Interpreting

Thanks to hybrid interpreting, people can participate remotely in meetings by simply connecting through special portals. This allows everyone to fully understand what is being said by speakers at a conference like Blockchain for Smart Economy.

In our case, the event was held both in-person and remotely, taking advantage of services like those provided by Langpros. They delivered simultaneous English-Vietnamese interpretation in a hybrid mode, making everyone able to participate.

The audience (500 people) and technicians were at the Atlantis The Palm, Dubai, while the interpreter worked remotely. Langpros provided the technology, receivers, microphones and the interpreter, while the event organizers provided everything else.

After all, hybrid interpreting works like this: while an agency like Langpros helps overcome language barriers, the hosts can focus on the organization of the event.

Conclusions

While blockchain is a technology that should be known worldwide due to its usefulness, it couldn’t spread without Hybrid Interpreting.

When it comes to conferences of this magnitude, in fact, you should think not only to make people understand the concept of Smart Economy, but to convey it in the right language and with the right words even to those who follow from remote.

We would like to share a video of 5ROI Global, official partner of the event, in which you can see part of the conference.
