Expo 2020 Is Coming, and Italy Is Ready!

Italy at Expo 2020 Dubai

Expo 2020 is coming to Dubai, and with 190 countries and over 25 million people expected to participate, this event will be a unique opportunity for businesses to go global and consolidate a strong network of partners.

The theme will be “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, sub-themes being SustainabilityMobility, and Opportunity.

The 192 country pavilions and over 200 restaurants will be located in a 438-hectare area of the newly constructed Dubai South, near Dubai’s western border with Abu Dhabi.

Italy will be taking part in the 6-month event with a pavilion built on the experience of Expo 2015 Milan, pursuing the agenda of the UN 2030 agenda for sustainability.

The Theme

Located between the Opportunity and Sustainability areas, the theme of the Italian project will be “Beauty connects people”. Beauty is not only aesthetic value, but it also represents connection, expertise, innovation, knowledge, which have always characterized the Italian identity.

Beauty will be a strategic value to plan the future through dialogue between nations while respecting identity, fair competition, human rights, and sustainable development.

The Italy pavilion will express its theme “beauty connects people” through architecture.

set under the overturned hulls of three ships, will feature spaces inspired by traditional Italian ‘piazze’, gardens, and landscapes.

The Italy Pavilion will focus on culture, art, sustainability, education, science, security, and innovation. It will take visitors on a journey through history to the future.

The project sees the involvement of Carlo Ratti, Italo Rota, Matteo Gatto, and F&M Ingegneria.
